True, or not?
When you spend most of your life dealing with the sadness of other people's plights, it's a relief to publish something a little more light-hearted. So here are some thought-provoking beliefs that many people accept as facts. What do you think?

- Triangular sandwiches taste better than square ones.
- At the end of every party there is always a girl crying
- You're never quite sure whether it's ok to eat green crisps.
- You're never quite sure if it's against the law to have a fire in your back garden.
- Nobody ever dares to make cup-a-soup in a bowl.
- Prodding a fire with a stick makes you feel manly.
- Rummaging in an overgrown garden always turns up a bouncy ball.
- You always feel a bit scared when stroking horses.
- The smaller the monkey, the more it looks like it would kill you at the first opportunity.

- There's no panic like the panic you feel when you've got your head stuck in something.
- Despite constant warnings, you never actually met anybody who had their arm broken by a swan.
- The most painful household incident is stepping on an upturned plug with no shoes on.
- People who don't drive always slam car doors too hard.
- You turned into your dad the day you put aside a thin piece of wood to stir paint with.
- Everyone had an uncle who tried to steal their nose.
- In every bag of chips there is always a bad one.

Really good! I thought I was the only one who thought these things. I've had 3 injured swans and they really are cowards; they hiss a lot but rarely attack unless breeding. But I believe they COULD break a bone.
We also owned several stallions over the years but I do feel scared when stroking other people's horses. I do run out of salt and I am grateful that I did not turn into my father!
