Tax Credits

This morning (10th September 2008) I received a letter from the Inland Revenue demanding that I repay £198.17 which was apparently overpaid to me in the tax year ended April 2008. This is all rather strange because I have never received any tax credits or pension credits. In fact, I receive no benefits at all apart from my miserable state pension.

Naturally, I have no intention of repaying money I never had in the first place and I have written to the Inland Revenue to tell them so.

But what I find truly galling is that while they're chasing me for a piddling little sum I never had, that well-known preacher of Muslim hatred, the suspected terrorist Abu Qatada, is milking the UK benefits system to the tune of more than £50,000 a year. Doesn't that tell you that being a white Englishman can be a distinct disadvantage at times? Especially where the present government is concerned.

Name and salute

Dateline: 22nd August 2008

Almost everything on this website is aimed at exposing corruption and bad practises by naming and shaming the guilty parties. A lot of the content is also aimed at those who are trying to destroy our country - the people who would prefer to forget the heritage that made us GREAT Britain. They also are named and shamed.

But the last Bank Holiday of the summer is approaching rapidly and I'm in a good mood because I'm getting away from London for a break in the West Country. Before I go, I want to make a radical departure from the norm - I want to NAME and SALUTE our athletes in Beijing who are doing such a sterling job to make us proud of our nation.

As I write this snippet, we have 18 gold medals, 13 silver and 11 bronze with perhaps a few more to come over the next two days. Please join me in saluting TEAM GB. Winners or losers, they are all members of a magnificent team and that should make the rest of us proud to be British.

Have a Great British bank holiday, folks.

Councils plan to take obese children into care

So the Local Government Association thinks that fatter youngsters are examples of parental neglect and should be handed over to social workers.

Nobody in their right minds would want their children to fall into the hands of some of these cretins who seem to go out of their way to interfere in family life yet frequently fail abysmally to protect children who really do need help.

Granted obesity is becoming a problem for children in the UK but of course it has nothing to do with the fact that so many councils have sold off school playing fields for private housing development or banned children's games on health and safety grounds, does it?

Why don't these idiots in local government try to get both their brain cells working in harmony, move back onto planet earth and get themselves a life? Which part of "public servants" do they not understand?

What hope for the London Olympics 2012?

Watching our youngsters produce such magnificent achievements in Beijing brings a tear to the eye and a warm glow in the heart but what will happen in four years time?

London council tax payers are bearing the cost of the Olympics and the budget has already rocketed from the original estimates. Sure, 30 pence a week from every London household for five years doesn't sound like a fortune but the Olympics is for the whole of the UK. If the same cost had been spread across the UK it might have been little more than a penny a month for everyone. But now we have another major worry.

For some mysterious reason, it is mandatory for each Olympic host country to outdo the efforts of the previous host country. After watching the opening ceremony in Beijing, Londoners must now be convinced that the budget will soar far beyond the £9-billion+ figures that we currently have. So who is going to stump up for the excess?

But, hey, we shouldn't worry about that. Our beloved Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Tessa Jowell,  who is also Minister for the Olympics, has assured us the costs will not rise! And we're sure to believe the words of a born liar like Tessa Jowell who couldn't tell the truth to save her life. Please pull the other one!

We haven't got the required number of downtrodden peasants that China has and we don't even have the same cheap source of firework supply that China enjoys. What we do have, however, is a burgeoning number of jobsworths in local town halls, . In 2008, they're already interfering in everything we do and banning everything we used to take for granted so God forbid we should worry about the way the health and safety jobsworths employed by the London Borough of Newham will affect the Olympics in 2012. Be prepared for some big changes to athletics as we knew it.

"Sorry, but gymnasts cannot perform on the beam unless guard rails are fitted."
"Sorry, pole vaulters must use steel scaffolding poles and wear harnesses."
"Bicycles used in the velodrome or on the roads must be fitted with front and side airbags."
"Sorry, no javelins or discusses. The police advise that they are dangerous weapons."
"I don't care if you are a weightlifter .. you're obese. Report immediately to the social workers."
... and so on

If we're lucky, we might get an Olympics featuring tiddlywinks, shove ha'penny and perhaps even hopscotch ... but only if it's impossible to trip over the paving slabs!

Should high earners be taxed more?

Of course they should. Why should an increasingly large number of champagne socialists be allowed to pay themselves obscene salaries and bonuses and get away with the benefits of a lax tax regime?

Most families could live very comfortably with an annual income of £50k if prices were controlled. After tax they would have around £35k. If those who received unwarranted salaries (council officers take note) of £200k were taxed at 80% their net income would be £40k. Sounds like a fair deal to me because so many of them aren't worth the money they get (council officers take note).

Naturally, the higher earners will argue that unless they're paid the excessive rates they currently receive they will leave the country. My response: "Goodbye!"

No allegiance - no morals

If you need proof that MPs have no interest in the proud heritage of the UK you only have to look at the bunch of politicians who believe allegiance to our Queen infringes their human rights. Instead, they want to swear allegiance to their constituents.

Well we already know how they view their constituents. We're just the sops who pay for their luxuries by coughing up for their fiddled expenses.

Standards have been slipping for many years but we have to have a focal point for our loyalty and the Queen is the natural recipient. The members of our armed forces, who are worth far more than any politician, don't have any problems swearing their allegiance and they prove it by being prepared to sacrifice their lives for the country. So any MP who won't swear allegiance should be charged with treason and then sent to the front line in Iraq or Afghanistan to work with men and women who are loyal to their country.

Bullet-proof vests for council workers!

Well done, Liverpool Council. Dipping into the bottomless purse that is council taxpayers mandatory donations, Liverpool Council forks out £450 per man so that each of their employees in 'risky' jobs can have a bullet-proof vest. Strangely, most of these people in 'high-risk' jobs are the most hated people in the land enforcing new regulations that our stupid bureaucracy foisted on us to make our lives intolerably unbearable. Soon no doubt, the traffic wardens (sorry, Civil Enforcement Officers) will be allowed to carry guns to ensure that parking fines, which are often illegally enforced, are paid on the spot.

I'm sure the vast majority of long-suffering members of the public would probably be far happier if the new armies of enforcers were supplied with targets to wear on their chests.

Would you want to live in Zimbabwe?

No? Of course you wouldn't. Who, in a country renowned for its freedom of speech, would want to live under a dictatorship where citizens had no rights; no freedoms to do as they wished?

So why are you kidding yourself? The UK has been turning into a dictatorship for the last ten years. We even had our own Robert Mugabe but he was called Tony Blair. Now we have another called Gordon Brown. The only difference is that the dictators haven't yet turned the troops out to fire on their own people but they've turned out everyone else to spy on us. They've gradually eroded our rights to freedom and the troops will eventually follow when we don't obey the plethora of stupid new laws that have been foisted on us since 1997.

The final stage of the conversion will take place when Brown signs away all our hard-won rights to sovereignty then our version of Robert Mugabe will be some unelected and unaccountable president in Brussels. We will be nothing more than a regional district in a jack-booted European state. Everything we fought against in two world wars will be mandatorily imposed upon us by a handful of greedy politicians who are only interested in their own futures. We are nothing more than pawns in their political game.

We will shortly be publishing an article showing how these traitors are accomplishing their objectives.
