Dover Council

If you really need convincing that local authority executives and officers are corrupt, lying bastards, then pay a visit to http://www.dover-council.co.uk/.

Peter Moulder bought and renovated a derelict house for himself and his family but Dover Council were determined they would not live there. They turned up with a bulldozer and knocked the place down! Even though maladministration was proved against the council, they ignored the findings and refused to back down.

Peter's fight continues more than 25 years later.

Latest development

2nd June 2009: We just heard news from Peter that a Dover councillor has finally admitted deception. He claims that when he was a new boy on the council, he actually believed that council officers always told the truth - naive fool. The whole idea of having councillors is that they can monitor and control the actions of council officers, at least until they are tainted with the same corruption that seems to affect council employees.

The fact is that council officers invariably pursue their own agenda only, regardless of the effect it will have on those who pay their wages or are directly affected by their proposals. And if it means lying about the circumstances, or trying to smear the name of a member of the public, then they do so willingly and menacingly.

Now the truth is emerging about our thieving MPs and civil servants in central government, remember many of those in local government are cast from the same mould. They should all be taken into the town square and placed in the stocks.

Life in idyllic Devon? Not always

ANNA WOTTON, a 65 year old retired linguist, has mounted a campaign against the Charity Commission whose remit it is to regulate the many and varied charities and trusts of this country.

Mrs Wotton asked the Charity Commission to investigate the charity, the Law Memorial Trust, for its failure to carry out reasonable repairs and maintenance on the alms houses Mrs Wotton lives in. Needless to say, her requests met with blanket resistance and even a personal appeal to Dame Suzi Leather, OBE - another New Labour acolyte who 'talks the talk' but does nothing to implement her words - brought no results. Which raises the eternal questions: How do some money-making companies get charitable status in the first place and why do we have paid regulators like Suzi Leather who do nothing?

It seems the owner has been suffering at the hands of "neighbours from hell" for several years but Brent Council's failure to act has done nothing to ease or resolve the problems - the usual story of all well-paid public service employees with fancy titles who are effectively taking wages from the public purse without offering anything in return.

Ask the People!

The process to establish a Constitution for Europe is proceeding with the aim to implement the next treaty before the European elections in June 2009.

But this process cannot go further without the direct participation and approbation of the peoples of Europe. The next EU treaty cannot be established without asking the people!

One man's fight for justice

In 2001, David Edgar's elderly father was forced into a scabby care home - against his family's wishes - by Walsall Social Services. Three years later, he was dead!

During those three years, Mr Edgar senior's family were not allowed to visit him so they could not witness the abuse and neglect the old man suffered.

When he died, Walsall Council arranged the funeral without telling the relatives and to this day they do not know where their father's remains were interred.

Naturally, formal complaints were made to the police, the MP, and to the local government ombudsman and they did what useless authorities normally do ... they ignored them!!

But David Edgar jnr is a man of substance. He's not prepared to put up with all this bureaucratic secrecy and cover-ups and he's fighting back. In doing so, he's uncovering many other things that Walsall Council would prefer to keep secret.

Camden Council again!

Even if we accept that almost all councils are corrupt, the London Borough of Camden seems to take the biscuit when it comes to the number of complaints we receive on this portal.

This issue concerns the Maiden Lane Estate where the council want to bulldoze up to 215 homes forcing decent families out of the homes they have lived in for years; the homes where they put down their roots.

The residents have set up a website which explains everything - http://www.MaidenLaneEstate.org and they name the guilty parties who are responsible for this disastrous scheme including Cllr Paul Braithwaite, Cllr Chris Naylor, Cllr Fred Carver, Cllr Ben Rawlings, Gordon MacQueen (chair of EMB), Liviu Zoica (treasurer of EMB) and Patricia Hayden (District Housing Manager).

If you've read our articles about problems with illegal parking restrictions in the London Borough of Bexley, you won't be surprised to hear that local authorities throughout the UK are similarly extracting parking penalties from motorists who haven't actually broken any laws. The reason is that they think we should stick to the rules and regulations while they totally ignore them.

If you have received a parking ticket recently, there's a good chance you can appeal it. But you must do this before you pay the penalty or the case will be closed and you will have lost your hard earned money. Do planning departments ever follow their own rules?

From our experiences, it seems they break the rules whenever it suits them. And if they are challenged, the officers at the town halls huddle into their little corrupt cliques and fabricate a pack of lies in an attempt to defeat their challengers.

Of course, we have people (Ombudsmen) whose sole purpose in life is to ensure such cases are thoroughly investigated. However, they can be easily fooled when council officers give them misleading information and the same council officers have no qualms about lying to the investigator.

Such was the case when Gordon Bray tried to contest a planning decision by North Devon County Council that was approved by South Molton Parish Council. Even though Gordon has documented evidence to prove that council officials and councillors lied, he has fought a two-year battle with the crooks on the council.

Erewash Borough Council

When the owner of an engineering company blatantly snatches land that does not belong to him and erects an eight-foot high steel fence without planning permission, you have to wonder why the council seem so reluctant to act. When he then destroys a protected bat colony by tearing out all the trees and shrubs that are also supposed to help the ecology by absorbing pollutants, you might be amazed if still nothing gets done by the council. But when he then lays non-draining hardcore over an established flood plain, you might begin to suspect that he has some control over the council.

But it's not that simple. He then goes on to make false allegations about the residents of houses whose privacy he has totally destroyed and the police, without any concrete evidence, jump to his command. They even send out a Rapid Response Firearms Unit!

Unbelievable? You might think so. You might even think we were talking about some despotic third world state but no ... this is the UK today. This all happened in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

Liars at Valuation Office supported by Disgraceful Ombudsmen

Jim Tanner is an old soldier - a war pensioner who was prepared to lay down his life to ensure this country offered a secure future free from the oppression of invading forces. In later years, struggling to survive on a pathetic pension, Jim discovered that the oppressive forces were actually the people whose future he had fought for. They were British bureaucrats whose sole purpose in life was to make life a misery for their fellow countrymen. The were corrupt, they were dishonest, they were liars! Corrupt Camden Council

Lilian E is a resident of the London Borough of Camden. She has set up a website at http://corruptcamdencouncil.blogspot.com/ to highlight the corrupt activities of officers and councillors. Her experiences of corruption within Camden Council - not only by council officials but also by tenant reps - prompted her to inform others about the appalling behaviour of the thugs who live in Camden and purport to represent the interests of other residents.

Name and Shame Scotland

This is an interesting website trying to expose Solicitors and Doctors in Scotland who have been using illegal practices to prevent people with industrial injuries or illnesses from getting their cases into court.

In one case alone, four doctors, one HSE medical person and the GMC all withheld factual evidence but presented their own false evidence. Most Solicitors in Scotland use the same expert witnesses who never challenge the false evidence so they think they can go to any lengths to prevent cases reaching court.

Like us, the Scottish website posts documented facts from their correspondents and gives them a chance to express their genuine beliefs. It's called Freedom of Speech - the right that governments try to deny us because they really want to suppress the truth.

Crooked Lawyers

Joe Dowling has spent years trying to expose the crooks who masquerade under the legal banner. Complaints against bad solicitors

This is an independent national survey open to anyone who has ever made an official complaint about a solicitor in the last 10 years, i.e. to the Law Society of England and Wales.
